Nice but the drums sound a little rigid and unhuman. Maybe fiddle about with velocity, etc...?

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks for stopping by! I think you must have misunderstood the intention of the track though. It's a video game track heavily inspired by the 80's and old school music styles, the stiff drums is part of the concept in this case, adding humanity to it would take away a lot of the charm. The drum sounds and the way they are played are intentionally robotic. Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice, the bass drum is really powerful and appropriate.

It's nice but feels a touch too repetitive :) Maybe bulk up the instrumentation or add a modified musical idea? Loved the ending :D

Pirate rave, well I never.

Club classic! Very noice.

Sorry to be a horrible pedant but orchestration and arrangement are slightly different, but still related, things :)

SuperTonic64 responds:

Hey Daveisgr81, thanks so much for the review! :) I'm glad you enjoyed this arrangement. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting it to take off as it did, as it was only a test of Logic Pro at the time, so that's why the orchestration is a little bit straight-laced. I hope you enjoy this, and my other works!

Nice, relaxed vibe.

Really interesting. How are the rhythms generated? Did you tap it in or did you generate it using the vocoder?

Lich responds:

The Rhythm tonals were generated from Arpeggio tonal's in Soundiron Drip and Crystal, combined with IL Gross Beat being present twice on each FX Rack instance.

Fun!

Nice! Maybe think about altering the dynamics, some subtle changes would make the musical phrasing a bit more shapely!

larrynachos responds:

Yeah, I didn't learn how to manipulate the modulation wheel via automation until after I had finished this song. I did do a lot of dynamics with the velocities though, so it should have made a difference.

Thanks!
